The 12V DC to 220V AC inverter circuit is designed using IC CD4047. The IC CD4047 acts as a switching pulse oscillating device. The n-channel power MOSFET IRFZ44n acts as a switch. The 12-0-12V secondary transformer inversely used as a Step-up transformer from converting low AC to High Ac.
You would have to get a step-up transformer (perhaps auto-wound for lower costs) to get 220 from a 110 inverter. Re: 220v from two inverters? Re: 220v from two inverters? You can put in series (two 120 VAC units into "one" 240 VAC w/ neutral unit), if the units you have have been designed for synchronized operation (I believe, with an external control cable that runs between the two units--such as some Outback units will).
