Analyzing the thermal runaway behavior and explosion characteristics of lithium-ion batteries for energy storage is the key to effectively prevent and control fire accidents in energy storage power stations. The research object of this study is the commonly used 280 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery in the energy storage industry.
Conclusions and perspectives With the vigorous development of energy storage, the installed capacity of lithium-ion battery energy storage stations has increased rapidly. Fire accidents in battery energy storage stations have also gradually increased, and the safety of energy storage has received more and more attention.
High-quality fire extinguishing agents and effective fire extinguishing strategies are the main means and necessary measures to suppress disasters in the design of battery energy storage stations . Traditional fire extinguishing methods include isolation, asphyxiation, cooling, and chemical suppression .
Fire accidents in battery energy storage stations have also gradually increased, and the safety of energy storage has received more and more attention.
